S'more Marshmallows

Cut
-Cut in half to show inside-

Who doesn't love S'mores? Chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers.. you can't go wrong.

I first made S'more Marshmallows for my wedding favors back in August 2008.
A tight budget didn't mean we had to do without, but we had to do some stuff ourselves.
Besides when you do it yourself it's more fun :)

Ready to make S'more Marshmallows?? :)

Ingredients:
12 Oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1 Bag Marshmallows
1 Package of Graham Crackers

Supplies:
Glass bowl + Small Sauce Pan
Toothpicks
Parchment Paper
Cookie Sheet
Clean Scissors

Line Cookie sheet with Parchment paper, set aside.

Marshmallows

Cut the marshmallows in half.

Marshmallows

Crush Graham crackers. NOT all the way - you want some texture.

Crush

Boil water in small sauce pan, once you see small bubbles turn off the heat.
Place glass bowl on top and add the candy melts.
Slowly stir, and continue until chocolate is melted.

Makeshift Double Boiler

Once you have your graham crackers crushed, marshmallows cut, and chocolate is melted
you can begin to make S'more Marshmallows!

Mis-en place

Tooth pick? Check! Marshmallow? Check!

Marshmallows cut in half

Dip into the chocolate.

Dip

Let the excess chocolate drip off the marshmallow.

Dunk

Place into the graham cracker crumbs.

Plunk

Cover the marshmallow with the crumbs.

Dump

Place onto cookie sheet, and refrigerate for about 10 minutes.

S'more Marshmallows

Enjoy :)

  4. Oh my gosh, what a concept! This looks like a really good substitute for the real thing, when there's no campfire to be found. You must have had really happy attendees at your wedding! :)
