Auntie Anne's At Home Baking Kit

I was lucky enough to get a free package of Auntie Anne's at home pretzel baking kit.
I love their pretzels, but making them at home is so much fun!!

Pretzels

The baking kit makes 10 regular sized pretzels and includes the following:

  • Pretzel Dough Mix
  • Yeast
  • Baking Soda
  • Salt
  • Cinnamon Sugar
The only ingredients I needed to make these were household staples.
Butter, water, and non-stick spray - SUPER EASY :)
I used my stand mixer to make life easier.
First things first, preheat your oven to 400°.
Dissolve the yeast in your mixer bowl, and let sit for 2 minutes.
Make sure you have the dough hook attached.

Pretzels

Mix the dough mix into the yeast at low speed, once it forms a ball stop and cover the dough with saran wrap.
Let the dough set for about 30-45 minutes.
Once the dough is ready I decided to make a pizza pretzel.  Shape your dough into the form of a pizza.
In a large bowl mix the baking soda with 4 cups of hot water.
The instructions tell you to dip the pretzels into the baking soda mixture, well I couldn't put a pizza in so I used a silicone brush instead of dipping.
Spray a cookie sheet with some nonstick spray and place in the oven.

Pretzels

I baked my pizza for about 7-8 minutes, and rotated once in between.
Once the pizza is done, melt 1 stick of butter, and using a silicone brush baste the pizza.
Sprinkle the cinnamon on the pizza..
And you could be done, but  I'm not done..
I thought my pizza needed something..something gooey, and sweet!

So I decided to make a cream cheese topping.. Such a good idea :)
In my mixer I combined
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch of salt
I then dizzled it over my pizza.
Put the pizza in the oven for about 1-2 minutes and let the topping melt. My husband thought it was going to be gross because it was "pizza", but right after he tried it.. his eyes opened wide, as did his mouth.
We both devoured this pizza in mere minutes.

Pretzels

I had so much fun with this kit, I even made some mini pretzels with the leftover dough.

Pretzels

This kit isn't just for pretzels, check out the great recipes on Auntie Anne's
With the holidays right around the corner I recommend everyone get this kit as a stocking stuffer!!
It's perfect for children, and even adults.

The best part is many stores carry this kit.
The suggested retail is $5.99 - $7.99, which is a great price since you can make so many pretzels!
So in conclusion, if you love Auntie Anne's as much as I do, you'll love this kit.
It's easy, and loads of fun!

Note: I received a free product for review.   I was not compensated beyond the
free product for this post.  Opinions are my own, and sometimes my hubby chimes in. :)
