Perfect Mashed Potatoes

DinnerMmm dinner, garlic chicken, asparagus, and perfect mashed potatoes :)

I don't know about  you, but my favorite food is potatoes.
Fry 'em, mash 'em, bake 'em, and boil 'em!
I don't know of a potato concoction I haven't liked..
I love mashed potatoes.

Buttery, salty, smooth, and a little hint of pepper.  Simple and delicious.

The main ingredient for my mashed potatoes is..
My KitchenAid, without it my mashed potatoes would simply be just mash.
I don't need a ricer, a masher, and there's no need to break a sweat.

Perfect Mashed Potatoes

  • 6 Medium Sized Yukon Potatoes
  • 1 Cup 1% Milk
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 10 Twists of McCormick Peppercorn Medley
Peel, chop, and boil the Yukon potatoes.  Once tender strain the potatoes.

Potatoes

Add the potatoes to your mixer bowl.  Place the beater blade on your mixer and add in the butter and salt.

KitchenAid - Mashed Potatoes

Beat on low speed while slowly adding the milk.  Beat longer for smooth, less for chunky.

Milk

Once the mashed potatoes are mixed add the pepper, use more or less for taste.

Peppercorns

  3. I never used my mixer either, and I'm so glad I figured it out.
It makes them so smooth, without the effort!

  4. I'm stopping by from Robin's Mingle Monday! Hi There!!

Mashed Potatoes in the Kitchen Aid? I have always been afraid to use it for fear of making something more akin to school glue than luscious mashed taters. I think you may have just saved me some time for Thanksgiving.

  5. I was nervous about them becoming gluey too, but they come out smooth and perfect every time :)

  7. I use russet potatoes, because theyll hold up a little better with the mixer and then--the best part--I put on the wire wisp attachment and whip em up on a high speed for a bit. Mmm. Super fluffy.
