- So I found a recipe for Chocolate Caramel Cookies on
They looked so yummy I had to try them for myself! :)
I even made a mini ice cream sandwich, filled with Dulce De Leche ice cream.
I used Maldon Sea Salt, and regular unsweetened cocoa.
For the caramel I used Kraft Caramel bits..
Big mistake. They didn't melt all the way,
so I ended up with a hard caramel inside.
I loved the flavor of the cookie.
Kind of like a brownie. But better.. did I just say that?..
Okay so the kid in me wanted more chocolate.
1 - 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
5 Tablespoons Butter
7 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
2/3 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Plain Yogurt
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
3/4 Cup mixture of Milk Chocolate, Semi Sweet, and White Chocolate Chips
Pre-heat oven to 350ºF
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Sift together flour, baking soda, and the salt. I like to double sift.
Melt butter in sauce pan on med-low heat.
Once melted removed from heat and stir in cocoa powder and sugar.
Add the yogurt and vanilla followed by the flour mixture.
Roll in to balls and bake for about 10-15 minutes.
These cookies are delicious.. make sure to have a glass of milk on stand-by!
Chewy and yummy. Definitely reminds me of a brownie.
