I hope you are all having an amazing Independence Day/Fourth of July! I kinda love America, how about you?
Almost everyone is off from work. BBQ in full swing! Fireworks - my favorite part. The lights, the sound, the atmosphere, I love it all! I love the food too.. Dessert anyone?
So I usually make cupcakes, but this year I wanted chocolate. Not just chocolate, I wanted brownies!

Red, White, and Blue Brownies
Slightly Adapted from Tasty Kitchen
Serves 20 - Prep 15 minutes - Cook 25-30 minutes
1 Cup Butter
2 Cups White Sugar
4 Whole Eggs
1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1/2 Teaspoon Coffee Extract (or 1 teaspoon strong coffee)
2/3 Cups Cocoa Powder
1 Cup Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2-1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9x13 pan. In a small bowl microwave the butter until melted, then add into large bowl with other ingredients (not chocolate chips) Mix well then add in chocolate chips - pour into greased pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Never over bake, always remember they continue to cook while cooling.
Now to make them red, white, and blue!
Toppings:
1/3 Cup Ganache (Room temperature)
1/4 Cup Red Colored Chocolate
1/4 Cup Blue Colored Chocolate
1/4 Cup Vanilla Chocolate Chips
White Nonpareils
Spread the ganache over the brownies. Before drying place about 4-5 white chocolate chips on the top of the brownies.
Melt the colored chocolates. Take a fork and drizzle the chocolate over the brownies.
Sprinkle with White Nonpareils.
