Calphalon Contemporary 10-Piece Bronze Anodized Edition Nonstick Review - Banana Split Pancakes

Calphalon Contemporary 10-Piece Bronze Anodized Edition Nonstick

Have you seen the NEW Calphalon Contemporary Bronze Nonstick 10-pc. Cookware Set?  When I first saw them reveal this new set on facebook I was in love.  I absolutely love my Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel Set, and I'm beyond thrilled that they brought this design in nonstick.  The bronze is perfect for any kitchen.   It has a brushed design,

and the handles and rims of the lids are mirrored stainless steel.  Where as my stainless steel set is a brushed look all around.

When I saw this set come out of the box it was the same feeling as getting a pony for Christmas.   One thing that differs aside from the nonstick from my original set is that they've included a 3qt Saute Pan.  Aside from just having a long handle it also has a closed handle on the opposite side for even handling, perfect!

My first nonstick set I ever owned was a store brand and had a red coating and chipped like crazy, not to mention the inside chipped as well.  The Calphalon Contemporary Bronze Nonstick 10-pc. Cookware Set is hard-anodized so it will never chip, crack, or peel!

This 10 piece set includes:
  • 8-in. Omelette Pan
  • 10-in. Omelette Pan
  • 1.5-qt. Covered Sauce Pan
  • 2.5-qt. Covered Sauce Pan
  • 3-qt. Covered Saute Pan
  • 8-qt. Covered Stock Pot
Features include,
  • Durable Bronze Anodized Exterior, that lasts a lifetime.
  • Heavy gauge Hard Anodized Aluminum, heats evenly.
  • Multi-Layer Nonstick, for lasting release.
  • Stay Cool Handles
  • Oven Safe to 450°F

Calphalon Contemporary Bronze Nonstick 10-pc. Cookware Set set undergoes Calphalon's renowned hard-anodization process with an innovative new step, which results in a beautiful fully-infused color that will last a lifetime.  It even comes with a Life Time Warranty!  My previous set from the store brand didn't even last a year.  I think I can get used to a lifetime of not having to repurchase cookware.. How about you?

The Calphalon Contemporary Bronze Nonstick 10-pc. Cookware Set is only $399, and would make a perfect gift for a loved one.. or even yourself!

Banana Split Pancakes with Chocolate Sauce

Just a note from me, like with all nonstick cookware please remember to use a med-low heat.  Never a high flame.  Never heat an empty pan, and use nonstick friendly utensils to keep your cookware looking it's best.

Now onto a recipe that I was inspired to make as soon as I opened this beautiful set!

Heat a small frying pan on med-low with a little butter, once the butter is melted use a paper towel to smear the butter around the pan and to remove excess.  Place pancake batter by 1/4 - 1/3 Cup into pan.  Flip once pancake has small bubbles.

  4. I have one of those pans and like it very much. I try not to use too much in the way of non-stick coatings, but some things really need that finish to cook properly. BTW, those pancakes are pretty incredible looking!
