No nesting..

We know what we'd like, and how we'd like it.  So right now I really should be preparing a nursery for sweet baby.. Instead I'm packing up things little by little.  When doctors told me it would be hard for me to get pregnant I never expected to get pregnant the first time we try.  They said 6 months - 2 years is the usual time frame.  Not for us apparently.  (HUGE FYI for those with endometriosis)

So instead of being able to move into a bigger place BEFORE baby.  We will be moving into a bigger place with her.  Right now we live in an extremely "cozy" one bedroom apartment that we moved into for hubby's job.  Thankfully our lease is up July 31st, but sweet baby's is up July 20th!

Things are going smoothly.  Now I'll be going every 2 weeks for checkups with the doctor and before we know it she'll be here! :)

Have you ever moved during pregnancy or with a newborn?  This is going to be quite the little adventure!

  1. With my second daughter, we moved when I was about 6 or 7 months pregnant. Although I didn't want to move, going from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house only made sense.

  2. Moving is hard enough with kids, but to do it with a newborn or while pregnant has got to be miserable.

  3. Oh man we considered doing that and it was impossible so we gave up. GOOD LUCK!

  4. When I was pregnant with my son, we moved from a tiny two bedroom apartment to a large comfortable 3 bedroom home. It was quite an adventure welcoming our son into the world and trying to move at the same time. Although, I wish that I would have waited until he was older as the move was very stressful and no fun, at all. But I know you'll do fine. Good luck on the move and your new baby!

  6. Oh, my goodness -- can't believe you're in the "appts. every 2 weeks" phase! It's going by so fast!

  8. I can't imagine moving with a newborn. Word of advice, accept all the help you can get. Nay. BEG for more help. There is no shame in asking for help, and moving is HARD. Get others to unpack for you, put things away, etc.

  9. We moved into a bigger place while I was pregnant with my youngest. It wasn't so bad.

  11. Yes I have. You'll be fine. The secret -get as much help as you can (especially on moving day) and be as organized as you can!

  12. I moved a few months ago, and it was a little hard, but that's for any move! :)

  13. I have moved during pregnancy. Hard! You'll be fine though. Even if you were all moved in, your house would be chaotic with a newborn. This was you're getting both "chaoses" over with at once. ;)

  14. I moved when I was 8 months pregnant. The good thing about it was that I didn't have to do anything but give orders. You'll get through it regardless and make your new place into a home for the 3 of you :)

  19. moving into a new place sounds like so much fun and hopefully you'll be all packed and ready to go before baby arrives.

All you need to worry about is bringing a healthy baby into the world. Nothing else

  20. Yes, I moved when my son was 1 month old. It was NOT fun!

  21. We were contracted on a home scheduled to close when I was 38 weeks pregnant. Unfortunately it fell through, and we ended up moving when our son was 3 months old. You may always be able to ask for a month leeway on your lease.

  22. Well, moving isn't fun in the best circumstances... but having a bigger place will make it all worth it, I'm sure. :)

  23. Ugh, I just moved with three little ones and it was super hard. But I can only imagine that moving with a small baby will be just as hard.

    Good luck.

  26. Yes I did! I was probably about 8 months pregnant when I moved into a house from a 1-bedroom apartment. It was ok, and even though I was exhausted, I could pack at my own pace because the baby wasn't here yet. Ask for help!
