I absolutely love music. While at work one day I was playing pandora for a child, and that's when Naima (Benin) by Angelique Kidjo came on. I'll be honest.. I have no clue what she's saying but the song is just so peaceful and relaxing.
When I googled this song I found that it was on a CD called Dreamland: World Lullabies & Soothing Songs
I play it occasionally for Mikaylee, and I'm sure it will be a familiar song once she hears it. Is there any lullaby you like playing for baby?

I used to sing them, but I never played them. That's a neat idea!
ReplyDeleteYou know I do not seriously remember.. I like the idea of playing a soothing CD, I wish I would of played one giving birth!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a lullaby CD that I played for my kids, but lost it a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love Google and how you can find anything LOL.
ReplyDeleteYes, Colleen! I was so happy I was able to find the CD! :)
ReplyDeleteI like to sing them too!
ReplyDeleteMusic really works with kids!
ReplyDeleteGreat lullaby CD!
ReplyDeleteI still love lullabies, even if my son is too old for them. :)
ReplyDeleteI always sang to my kids when they were little. My oldest loved my singing but my younger kids not so much Lol
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful song.
ReplyDeleteLove it. Such a hauntingly beautiful song.
ReplyDeleteI always used to sing to my babies. We still sing them now. Just familiar hymns or lullabies.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE It's a big world baby by Renee and Jeremy. There are so many cool songs I've rediscovered since my Little guy.
ReplyDeleteI used to sing when I was pregnant and when they were little.
ReplyDeleteI made up my own to sing to my kidlets, and they still love to hear me sing it.
ReplyDeleteLove Pandora - a great way to find new music!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea, I'm sure she will love it.
ReplyDeleteI used to do that with my children...put headphones to my belly and play music. They either really loved it or really hated it because they would move like crazy.
ReplyDeleteI love pandora! Also, I used to put my headphones on my stomach when I was pregnant so that my baby could hear the music! :)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! You'll be playing it for her in person soon.
ReplyDeleteI love music too. It is a soothing song, even though I have no clue what she is saying either. :)
ReplyDeleteI always sang "Go To Sleep" lullaby to mine :)
ReplyDeleteI played Jack Johnson and Bob Marley for my babies in utero :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteI love this song as well. I saw this artist on the Africa channel. I couldn't understand her lyrics then but the music is so soothing and her voice is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh, that wonderful! So sweet. We did a lot of Canon in D type stuff around here. And Enya. A little Nora Jones. I still get a bit teary when I hear some of the songs I played for my children as they went to sleep. Sweet memories.
ReplyDeleteI bet she'll love it.
ReplyDeleteI need to find new Pandora stations. Thanks.
