I was so excited to pick out Mikaylee's first Halloween costume, but honestly I didn't realize I would have such a tough time finding one that would fit. We chose a Cat costume from Buy Costumes.. The costume said it would fit infants from 0-9 months. My daughter is a few days away from being 3 months and I cannot say that this costume would be ideal for a child any smaller than her as it doesn't even fit her too nicely. I now know for next time that it's most likely going to fit a child that is closer to the ending month. I really wish they had more extravagant costumes for newborns, but I understand since they don't really go around trick or treating. Maybe it's just because it's my favorite holiday and I'd love to go all out!
However the costume is cute, and most of all extremely affordable It's a felt material and nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Sweet Baby really enjoyed dressing up, that was until she got hungry. I look forward to her costume next year when she will fit into more expensive and embellished. Until then, this one is the Cat's Meow! :)

ReplyDeleteThat is very cute! My daughter was about 13 weeks for her first Halloween and the costume I bought for her was giant. I look at the photos now, 12 years later, and giggle!

ReplyDeleteI chose a cat for my infant also! I actually got her a 6-12 month costume and it fits her perfectly, plus I loved that it had easy-change snaps on the bottom. This black cat costume you have was our first choice, but since the sizing is off, I'm glad we didn't go with that one! Your baby is still super adorable!
