Celebrating the Season with Nestle Holiday Candy

One of my favorite Nestle Candies is their Crunch Chocolate!  So I just had to get their Crunch Jingles at the store and even make a recipe with them!!

Every year I make my usual cookies and cupcakes to share with my family and friends.  I usually make a huge amount of goodies for my co-workers too.. However, since I'm not working now since I'm a stay at home mommy I decided it would be fun to make a treat bag for all of hubby's co-workers!  I just couldn't go without baking, and plus it's nice to spread the holiday cheer.  Especially with Nestle Candy!  My husband and I were eager to shop at Walmart to Celebrate the Season with Nestle's #HolidayCandy.

I was even more eager to try a new recipe.  I love trying new things - even more so when it's different than my usual!  Nestle has a collection of great seasonal recipes that I just couldn't wait to try!  I love the traditional chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin so when I saw Mrs Claus' Favorite Oatmeal Cookies recipe I just had to try it!  Loaded with cranberries and topped with a Nestle Crunch Jingle!

We may have went a little overboard with excitement in the candy section.. but who wouldn't?  My  husband and I both have a major sweet tooth!  We picked up some SweetTarts Candy Canes, Spree Candy Canes, Crunch Jingles, Sweet Tart Gummi's (that never even made it to the house!), Wonka assorted candy which had my favorite NERDS, and some things to bake and make Mrs. Claus Favorite Oatmeal Cookies!  Don't forget to check out my full shop on Google +!

By the time we got home baby girl and I were exhausted so we waited for the next day to bake like crazy.  I awoke early and she slept in!  Crazy!  I started off by making the cookies!!

Mrs Claus' Favorite Oatmeal Cookies

makes 3 dozen

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/14 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 stick of butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups quick oats
20 Nestle Crunch Jingles, cut into quarters
1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Nestle Celebrate the Season

Start off by preheating your oven to 375.
Putting it into my mixer really helps out.  I first mixed the wet, then added the dry.

Then I added in the toppings!  Plop round tablespoon full of cookie dough on cookie sheet and place one quart of a Crunch Jingle on top.  Bake for 10 minutes!

After baking these I was eager to try the mini chocolate chips I picked up also!  I made some mini chocolate chip cookies using the recipe on the back of their bag.  Then sandwiched them with a marshmallow in between.  FUN, right?!

So since I was giving the bags to hubby's co-workers I decieded to not go to frilly and girly or he may not take them!  I kept it sweet and simple!  3 Nestle Crunch Jingles, 1 Oatmeal Cookie, 1 Mini Chocolate Chip Sandwich Cookie, Nerds, Sprees, and Laffy Taffy's!  Candy Canes on the side!  I couldn't get them too fit in my little bags.

I also bought enough candy for my friends and family that visit!
