Oh Katy Cloth Diaper - Review & Giveaway

Oh Katyy

It's been 5 months since I've had my precious baby girl and with every diaper change in the beginning I would notice that she would get horrible diaper rashes - and I found that disposable diapers were to blame.  Since realizing this I've been on a mission to find the perfect cloth diaper for sweet baby.  She has super chunky thighs and regardless of how much I maneuver some cloth diapers they would dig into her thighs even on the loosest settings.  One thing I don't want to do is fix a problem to only create another.  I also like the generous sized pocket for the insert in the back.

Oh Katy

I love trying new diapers and was eager to try out Oh Katy.  It has an outer layer that is waterproof so no leaks!  I can adjust the diaper from 8-35lbs and like I said I didn't want the diaper digging into her legs, this diaper features gentle leg gussets that keep everything in, but doesn't dig into my baby girl's thighs!  They come with a newborn insert and a full size.  I actually use the newborn insert as a double for extra leak protection!  They're made of ultra-soft microfiber that keeps baby feeling dry.

Oh Katyy

I love they're colors too!  I'm a huge fan of darker colors for baby girl, as she just doesn't seem like a pale pink type to me so we went with the Cherry, red!  Fun right?  We need the Violet and Black next!  My favorite part about this diaper is the adjustability   I don't need a diaper that I can only use until baby reaches 18lbs.  My only concern with the weight limit is that she may outgrow it although it says 35lbs.  It seems a little shorter than others.  I have it on the medium size snaps and I can see we'll be unsnapping that soon.

Oh Katyy

Washing is easy!  I just take out the insert and put it with other cloth diapers.  I use 1/8 of the detergent amount I would usually use and I use a powder form of Tide Free & Clear.   I do a cold/hot wash and even if I put in 3 diapers I always use large load so they can really get a good thorough clean.  Oh Katy doesn't recommend using fabric softeners, diaper creams, or rash creams.  If needed they recommend that you use a washcloth or liner to make a barrier between the diaper/insert which I do when she has irritation.  I also took a picture of her in the diaper with both inserts that come in the package.  I like to double for overnight and even put a good quality cloth wipe between her and the diaper.  It's not overly bulky and she still fits in her usual clothing.

Oh Katyy

I am really impressed with this diaper, and have no complaints other than I prefer using inserts on the outside.  We are also in love with all their colors!
