The start of a new year is a symbol for change, possibility and new beginnings. ‘Turning over a new leaf” is the sort of thing we hear ourselves hopelessly saying in regards to some new rule we’ve invented for the new year whereby we can only have chocolate every other Sunday of every other month or that late night Big Mac only in the event that you miss the last train AND are struggling to find your oyster card.
In fact the interim between January and February has been recorded, In recent studies, as the time in the year that we are most likely to abandon our New Year’s resolutions. Though who can blame us?
Grey skies, Christmas over-feeding, and over expensive gift giving regret all leads us to need that extra bit of comforting around this time of year more than at any other. And why shouldn't we allow ourselves? It’s all about healthy moderation. So pile up the mashed potatoes, I say! And learn how to dress yourself slim in stead.
What is the secret behind every red carpet goddesses’ secret smile? Other than possibly botox and a hard core gym regime, the secret is immaculate styling to fit the contours of each woman, specifically.
Choosing shapes that will accentuate some features whilst smoothing over others will give you a new-found sense of sexuality and will give you a slimmer look! The best way to do this is to adopt the style of the most flattering and glamorous period: the 50’s. Waist accentuating designs add a womanly curve to those that are more boyish in shape and slim down those who are naturally more curvy. So bring on the comfort food and dress the part for a less guilty pleasure.
