We recently got to drive and test out the 2015 Chevy Equinox AWD LTZ for a week. As a mommy of a little one we loved all the extra features in this vehicle. From the 2015 Top Safety Pick from IIHS to the Rear Seat Dual-Screen DVD players, we really had a fun week.
The 2015 Chevy Equinox has a 2.4L DOHC 4 CYL DOHC SIDI Engine. I felt safe driving around with my daughter with the stability control system with traction control combined with the rear vision camera and forward collision alert and lane departure warning. You also can’t beat the Rear Park Assist. The leather seats are comfortable as well as luxury – but as a mom I love that they’re also easy to wipe clean! The car is meant for comfort not just for front passengers, but also rear seating as well. This SUV had multi-flex sliding rear seat with 60/40 split seat back and a 3 position recline.
You can enjoy complete connectivity with the 2015 Chevy Equinox
- 6 MTH ONSTAR(R) Directions and Connections w/ Automatic Crash Response
- Turn By Turn Navigation with 5yr ONSTAR Basic
- ONSTAR 4G LTE WI-FI HOT SPOT W/ 3GB/3MO DATA TRIAL
- Chevrolet MYLINK Radio w/7″ Touch Screen
I love the heated seats for when the weather was still a bit chilly. It was beyond convenient to have the power liftgate trunk while shopping. I easily put my daughter’s stroller into the trunk. I am not usually a stroller mom and this was my first time using one without hubby. I easily lifted into the trunk and it had plenty of room! The 2015 Chevy Equinox has great gas mileage, 20 city 29 highway and a combine mpg of 23.
Like I mentioned earlier my daughter LOVED the DVDs that were build into the rear of the front seats.
I purchased a few Leap Frog Learning DVDs for our travel to my sister who lives 2 hours away. Usually we’d have to stop at least 2 times because she would get bored – with the DVD player she watched for a bit and then fell asleep. Peaceful ride for both of us! We really think the 2015 Chevy Equinox is a superior small family car.
