This week I started getting the round ligament pain. WOW. I guess it’s a good sign that baby is growing, but they’re pretty annoying. Getting up too quickly will result in a sharp stabbing pain so I’m definitely taking it easy and no jumping around! I’m trying to keep active and the nice weather is helping – can’t say I miss the snow. I may not be able to do what I did before pre-pregnancy, but I am doing what I can without hurting myself and baby. I do miss using my powerblock weights though!
About our baby: Our sweet baby now measures about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren’t recognizable yet. He’s even started growing toenails. And there’s a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop. (summary from babycenter)
About me: I feel so much better since leaving my first trimester. Hoping the 3rd is this smooth also. I am loving the energy bursts I get. Although I still am pretty exhausted at times.
How far along? 16 Weeks 1 Day
Total weight gain: 1.3lbs!
Maternity clothes? Purchased a new bra this week!
Stretch marks? None yet, I know they’ll be coming!
Sleep: Harder to get comfortable lately.
Best moment this week: Finally wanting certain sweets again, although I’m not sure if that is a good thing!
Worst moment this week: Going to Burger King for my craving of Fries and a Whopper Jr. Both burgers were stone cold and hubby’s had a hair. We walked them right back up and told them and received new burgers that were just as cold minus the added hair. FAIL.
Miss Anything? COLD deli meat
Movement: I’m not sure.
Food cravings: Watermelon and grapefruit
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still chicken almost any way you cook it. Especially ground chicken.
Gender: We’re finding out in March! 🙂
Labor Signs: No.
Symptoms: Ligament pains – OUCH!
Belly Button in or out? Same, in.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! 🙂
Looking forward to: Hearing baby’s heartbeat at our appointment on Wednesday. 🙂
