I have messy, frizzy, gross, tangled, puffy, dry, damaged, not so pretty hair.  Whenever I hop out of the shower I usually have to get dinner done, do laundry, do the dishes, or fall asleep with hubby and sweet baby so it just gets tossed up in a bun.. then I’m left with hair looking like this..

    GHD Straightener

I’m LOVING my new GHD Professional 2″ Ceramic Hair Straightener!  I have battled so many times trying to find the perfect straightener and when I do it quickly shows me that it’s not up to the task of being consistent   This straightener has shown them all who’s boss!

The cord never gets caught and swivels wherever I move it!

    GHD Straightener

Always be sure to use a heat protector before straightening your hair.. just don’t do it without unless you want your hair to smell burnt and fry it .. just putting it out there.

This baby packs some serious heat!  I do wish that it had a temperature control, but this one does all the thinking for my so I don’t have to find the perfect setting it does it on it’s own!  The wide 2″ plates let me get more hair done meaning less time spent fixing it up and more time with baby girl!

    GHD Straightener

This is replacing my just over a year old straightener that literally came undone.. the cord came out of the straightener.. SCARY!  When I called that company’s customer service they said sorry our warranty is only for a year.. we can offer you a discount on a new item.  Oh sure.. not!  I wasn’t about to spend $100 more on a product that obviously only lasts until the warranty runs out.  GHD has a 2 YEAR warranty!  Thank the heavens!  I am sure the quality is better and I’m excited to use this for many years to come!

To use like I said I use a heat protector then I comb out my hair – I use a comb instead of a brush since my dermatologist recommended it as it causes less breakage.. she knows her stuff.  Then once the straightener is heated up (which takes no time at all so used to waiting 5 minutes!) I just start straightener my hair.

I also should mention I have OCD about leaving things on and this straightener automatically shuts off after 30 minutes – not saying it’s a good idea to leave it on, but hello piece of mind when I’m freaking out if I left it on.  Great results that actually last and makes this mommy happy!  Love my new GHD straightener!

I need to buy a new straightener, mine isn’t working too well anymore. Love the feature where it turns itself off, I have forgotten mine on for the whole day more than once.

I’ve been straightening mine a lot lately. My hair is naturally wavy, and chemically damaged. :/ So I have to either straighten it or use hot curlers. You have gorgeous hair!

Your hair looks amazing either way! Looks like an awesome straightener though. I straighten my hair almost everyday if I want to wear it down, so this looks great.

This really sounds like a great iron. I actually own two and use to love them but like you I began to see they weren’t the best things and I pretty much wasted my money :/

      great review on the GHD

I use a hair straightener at least 5x per week so having one that is reliable is key. Your hair is gorgeous straightened or natural though!

I have the same problem. If I don’t blow dry my hair it always ends up a mess. I have very long hair and a great straightner might be just what I need.
