How To Become Pregnant – The most important thing about how to become pregnant, is knowing you’re ready. I knew I wanted to be a mother. I couldn’t wait to finally take care of a precious creation from God. When I finally became pregnant, I really couldn’t believe I was pregnant. Every single day I look at my daughter and thank God for her, my precious gift from God. My doctor still tells me how lucky I was each check-up, because we both know that I most likely won’t get that lucky again. Having endometriosis doesn’t allow for easy pregnancy, at least it usually doesn’t.
Some couples have no problems trying to conceive and others do. You really don’t know until you try or you’ve checked with a doctor. Astroglide TTC can be a Godsend for those who are having issues. This product temporarily relives vaginal dryness that women have and enhances the comfort of sexual activity, while still allowing sperm to travel the path they need to follow. I haven’t found any products sperm-friendly like Astroglide TTC! The consistency is comparable to the natural bodily fluids that a women creates and it supports fertility with adjusted pH levels. You can be extremely comfortable without any dryness!
My tips before and while TTC are:
- Taking a quality prenatal vitamin
- Don’t take medications other than those approved by doctor, midwife, etc.
- Dental health in check
- Healthy eating
- No Smoking or Drinking
- Minimal Phone Use
- Weight under control
- No Stress or Anxiety (can be easier said than done)
- Low Impact Exercise
- Watch the calendar for ovulation
- Have sex frequently
- Most importantly, some of these ring true for daddies too!
About stress.. Becoming pregnant can be extremely stressful if you’re not successful right away. I found that baking and cooking was a great stress reliever for me. I could really zone out while cake decorating. Others find coloring in a simple coloring book therapeutic. It’s extremely important to just let yourself have that bit of time. Whether it’s a book or an evening swim, let yourself be free.
When I first became pregnant I remember just blogging here and there for fun. It was my way of sharing my sweet and delicious baked treats. Who knew the best thing I’d bake up was a baby? I really never thought I was capable. According to doctors I would have an extremely hard time conceiving. Since I knew I was so lucky to become pregnant I shared my entire pregnancy on our blog, from the weekly pregnancy update to our birth story. I even made it a point to share her monthly progress for her first year of life. I really wish I did it monthly still!
After getting pregnant, other fears set in. Due to all of my womanly issues, would I be able to carry our baby full-term? Would I survive childbirth? So many emotions, all those hormones, all those thoughts! I’ll never forget when the doctor told me they were going to induce me. I was terrified. I just wanted our precious daughter to come when she was ready! I know I’ve always been ready for her. 🙂
Now that our sweet baby is now 3 years old, we’re starting to think about number 2! I always knew my first child would be a girl, I just felt it. I should also mention that the needle and thread trick told me so, and it also says boy and girl next! Twins run in both sides of my family. I wouldn’t mind having twins, just hoping that we have success trying for our next baby or babies!
I’m so grateful for the advances in technology and health that woman have more hope and better chances now of becoming pregnant.
