Refreshing Watermelon Sorbet Recipe! Make this fun frozen treat in less than 5 minutes. Scoops!

My mini chef loves making easy recipes for kids to try on Mini Chef Mondays and this Watermelon Sorbet Recipe is SUPER easy! All mom and dad have to do is chop up a watermelon and freeze the chunks. Once the chunks are frozen you put it into a blender with a tiny bit of liquid and blend!

We don’t like our sweets overly sweet so we don’t add in any sugar. The watermelon is so sweet that you really don’t need to add anything. If you want, you could add some sugar and lemon juice, but we love it just the way it is.

Watermelon is made up of mostly water and sugar, so it really makes for the perfect sorbet on its own. This watermelon sorbet recipe is a sweet and delicious treat. We always have frozen watermelon in the freezer during the summer so we can make this in a pinch.

Our family loves smooth Italian Ice and this sorbet definitely tastes like our favorite one. It’s so smooth and it’s really thanks to using a great blender! We highly suggest using a high speed blender to make your Watermelon Sorbet. We are loving our KitchenAid Pro Line Blender (special thanks again to KitchenAid for sending – see our first time using this blender, Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Yogurt) for healthy desserts!

The tamper alone is why it’s best to use a blender over a food processor. There’s no need to jam your spoon into the container and mix it up. Let the tamper do it all for you. 🙂 My little one loves watching the watermelon go from fresh cubes into a delicious and smooth dessert. No lumps or chunks! 🙂

If you make too much this can be frozen, but it will get pretty hard. We usually make just enough for 3 servings, about 3-4 cups of watermelon.
