THE BEST CHALLAH FRENCH TOAST RECIPE

challah bread eggs milk cinnamon sugar vanilla extract butter

for this recipe you'll need:

Slice the challah

You can make the slices as thick or as thin as you'd like. We start off with day-old challah bread and then slice it evenly.

Bring it all together

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla. Soak the bread in the milk mixture on both sides.

Rest and rise

Cook and brown the challah bread french toast 2-3 minutes per side or until the challah french toast is fully cooked. Alternatively, you can chop challah into bite size pieces and soak in the milk mixture and then bake to make baked French toast.

Serve as desired

We like serving with fresh fruit and citrus with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and a drizzle of real maple syrup.
