You can make the slices as thick or as thin as you'd like. We start off with day-old challah bread and then slice it evenly.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla. Soak the bread in the milk mixture on both sides.
Cook and brown the challah bread french toast 2-3 minutes per side or until the challah french toast is fully cooked. Alternatively, you can chop challah into bite size pieces and soak in the milk mixture and then bake to make baked French toast.
We like serving with fresh fruit and citrus with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and a drizzle of real maple syrup.
