Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Place the chicken in a casserole dish. This would also be the time to add any rough chopped potatoes and carrots if you'd like.
Pour 1 cup of water into the baking dish.
Rub the chicken with the butter and seasonings and then bake uncovered for 15 minutes at 400 degrees F.
After 15 minutes reduce to 350 degrees F for the remaining cook time, 20 minutes per pound.
