  • 1/2 pound of lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons freeze dried onion (use fresh if can't find)
  • 1/2 tablespoon freeze dried garlic (use fresh if can't find)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon juice from La Morena Pickled Jalapenos
  • 1 14.5 oz can chopped tomatoes
  • empanada wrappers
  • oil for frying


  • In a large skillet brown beef and discard fat.
