There are many things that make life easier, and the Contours Classique 3-in-1 Wood Bassinet is definitely one of those things! The sleek wood frame looks beautiful next to my bed while creating a safe place for my baby girl to sleep. It also helps tremendously for those late night feedings. I can just scoop Sweet Baby into my arms without bending too much, then nurse her and place her back into her bassinet. Also nervous about S.I.D.S. as a first time mommy I take every precaution I can - I love that the bassinet has a quilted and padded interior with just the right amount of firmness for my baby as well as mesh side windows to promote good air flow. I actually removed the skirt that is on the side of my bed so I can see Mikaylee through the mesh.
Sometimes you'll need to leave the room and thankfully the bassinet has wheels, but if you can't wheel the bassinet around you'll love this feature - It has a Moses basket that allows you to tote baby anywhere around the house.
While I'm not using the bassinet I like to keep it as a changing table which is another feature I love and has really come in handy. I had originally planned to purchase a whole diaper changing station and thankfully this really serves that purpose with the changer and storage underneath.
Sometimes less is definitely more, so glad we held off and didn't purchase unnecessary furniture. This multi-functional bassinet is perfect for our little family and I am happy to say that it will serve us well for our future children also. We have even used the changing table for when we gave Mikaylee sponge baths!

Mikaylee will be able to sleep in her Contours Bassinet until 3 months of age, or when she reaches 15lbs. As soon as she can move around and get up I'll place her into her crib. I love that we can still use the changing table until she reaches 25lbs. So we will get plenty of use out of something that would usually be just for sleeping. Love multipurpose items!

ReplyDeleteHow nice! And I love the last pic of her all swaddled up. My son would NOT swaddle. He didn't even like to have a blanket laid loosely over him. :)

ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous and functional bassinet. We had one that we passed from family member to family member for 40 years, but it didn't have any of these cool features!

ReplyDeleteThis looks so versatile! Sweet T is only 23 pounds at 2 years old so we'd get a lot of use out of it for a changing area.
