Creamy and sweet, Cinnamon Butter with honey is the perfect topping for freshly baked bagels, muffins, or even bread. Enjoy at home, take it to go, or even great for gifting! This post is sponsored by BJ’s Wholesale Club.
School is back in session and sometimes I feel like I’m scrambling to make lunch right before sending my daughter off to school at times. Now I’m making sure I’m prepared. I meal prep whatever I can and prep ahead for the coming days. I prep about 2 times a week to ensure that she’s getting fresh food for her lunches. I even prep enough for my husband’s lunches and for myself to have at home.
I love buying in bulk so I can prep a lot of food in advance. This can be anything from fresh fruit salads or fresh-cut fruit.
I also love short cuts, like buying baby carrots or pre-sliced apples. BJ’s Wholesale Club’s exclusive Wellsley Farms Organic Baby Cut Carrots and Wellsley Farms Organic Gala Apples are great grocery finds at an amazing value. Once the fall hits we like to add more vitamin C so instead of sliced apples I do a citrus salad. The citrus adds flavor to the apples but also prevents them from browning. I grabbed their Wellsley Farms Fresh from the Orchard Navel Oranges. By buying bulk at BJ’s Wholesale Club, I can find tons of grocery options from ready to go or easy to prep. They have a nice array of organic items, too! We love that they have such a large variety of fresh foods for less.
We get the fresh bagels 2-3 times a week in their Bakery department and recently saw they had a Country Apple bagel, so we had to try. We’re so glad we did, it’s so good! We instantly knew it would pair perfectly with our Cinnamon Butter with Honey. BJ’s has a great deal on Wellsley Farms organic honey so we always go through it and use it up. It’s a great way to add sweetness to so many recipes, not just to sweeten up your morning tea.

HOW TO STORE CINNAMON BUTTER
We recommend serving at room temperature. If you’re going to eat within the day you can leave it out 2-3 hours, but we always like to refrigerate for long-term storage.
RECIPE TIPS:
- Use quality honey, liquid works best
- Use good butter, no margarine and we prefer to use organic butter.
- Instead of using cinnamon you could also try pumpkin pie spice.
- Make sure you’re using room temperature butter, you’ll know it’s ready when the stick of butter can be pressed in easily with your fingers.
