Tis the season for pumpkin! Also for the season when you have so many things packing your calendar that you barely have a spot for “me time.”
Sure I’d love to go to the coffee shop and enjoy a hot cup of pumpkin spice coffee with a freshly baked pastry, but let’s be real 1. it’s expensive and 2. I have too much to do.
I do have me time. Every morning my husband gets up super early and then I do as well. He leaves the house for work, and I work from home. I place my favorite coffee into my Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Coffee Maker and the house smells delicious from the fresh aroma. I pull 2 pumpkin chocolate chip cookies out of the freezer (fresh and homemade!) and bake them in the oven. One for me to enjoy with my coffee and another for the kiddo when she wakes up.
Once she wakes up I’m fully refreshed, worked out, took a shower, had my coffee, and got some work done. All fueled by 1 cup of coffee!

how to make pumpkin spice coffee in the flexbrew
I take a pinch of all of the ingredients for homemade pumpkin pie spice. So that would be cinnamon, clove, allspice, ginger, and nutmeg. If I was making 12 cups I’d do a 1/2 teaspoon of each, 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon.
I pinch a little from each spice mason jar and add it to the coffee grounds in my single serving cup to make flavored coffee.
You can also add in some vanilla extract, but I just add in maple syrup for sweetness once it’s fully brewed.
Top with whipped cream or even spiced coffee creamer.
It’s even great plain!

- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 pinch clove
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 pinch ginger
- 2 tablespoons ground coffee
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- whipped cream
- cinnamon for dusting
Place all of the spices and ground coffee into the flexbrew brewing cup.
Brew the single cup of coffee and then top with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon.
For 12 cups add in 1/2 teaspoon of each, 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon.
