Watch them rise! Hot Cross Cinnamon Buns are a fun way to teach your child about the reserection of Jesus on Easter Sunday. TWe all have our beliefs, and in my beliefs, I believe we will all rise again! These are too easy for your child to make practically by themselves the morning of Easter Sunday.

As Christians, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday is also known as Resurrection Sunday and it is the high point of our year. My daughter has had a lot of questions about death recently. “Mama, where’s your mommy and daddy?” “Mama, where is grandpa, where’s Heaven?” “Are they okay?”.
We all have our beliefs and in my beliefs I believe we will all rise again! I explained to my mini chef that grandma Mimi, Pop Pop, and grandpa are all in Heaven. We put them in a safe spot where we visit. They will one day rise again, and we will all be reunited.,,,I had also planned to make large buns, but my mini chef said: “Mama, can I make them tiny like me?”,

Originally we wanted to make Jesus Resurrection cupcakes, but apparently, you can’t have cupcakes 2 times in one week. “I already had those, thanks though!”. So we went with Hot Cross Cinnamon Buns! I know if I made the traditional hot cross buns she wouldn’t touch them. She’s not a fan of dried fruits and I have to admit I’m not the biggest fan either.

I had also planned to make large buns, but my mini chef said “Mama, can I make them tiny like me?”. I love that she’s taking the lead in the kitchen! She had so much fun tearing the biscuit dough apart, covering them with butter, cinnamon sugar and then seeing them rise – double in size!
And she did the other. Today we tried using a new lighting setup (we bought artificial lighting for food photography), and we just used one soft box – it’s pretty bright

We iced one tray together and one she did all by herself! 🙂
