Sweet Baby is now as long as a Stalk of Swiss Chard!

WOW – We’re almost there!!  I can’t believe our precious sweet baby will be here in less than 20 days. (unless she’s fashionably late)  My belly feels like it’s dropping, but she’s still pretty high up – thankfully still face down according to my last checkup.  Her heart beat has been nice and strong each visit!  She is so active now.  I know exactly when she’s up.  For the most part she sleeps during the night – can’t say the same about me!  Hubby thinks it’s hilarious when I come into the bedroom with my nighttime snacks.  Banana, frozen strawberries, and animal crackers are at the top of the list!  We can’t wait to meet you Mikaylee!!
Hubby took this picture a little before 37 weeks, but I love it!

About our baby:  Your baby is now considered “full term,” even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, her lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you’re planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there’s a medical reason to intervene earlier.)Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don’t be surprised if your baby’s hair isn’t the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz. (summary and weekly image from babycenter)
About me:  Anxious!  Only 20 more days!  Feeling great, just some swelling.
How far along? 37 Weeks 1 Days
    Total weight gain:  28lbs
Maternity clothes? Just the 2 shirts.  My regular shirts are getting extremely short!
Stretch marks? I have some on both sides of my belly.
Sleep: Not much at night, but plenty of naps!
Best moment this week: Putting Mikaylee’s car seat in the car! 🙂
Worst moment this week: Bringing our car in for inspection of Mikaylee’s car seat.  I did an excellent job they said, but unfortunately my car has a cup holder in the middle of the back seat (Who even uses those?  I didn’t even realize it was there!) so she has to be to the right.. I know the center is the safest and think it’s so annoying that a car would have cup holders there.  Some cars have a locking feature.  Unfortunately mine does not.
    Miss Anything?  Mmm medium-rare steak!
Movement: Yes, we liked to call her our little wild one 🙂
    Food cravings: Grapefruit juice!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Raw ground meat/chicken.
    Gender: Baby GIRL!
    Labor Signs: No.
    Symptoms: Just a heavy belly!
Belly Button in or out? It’s officially out!
Wedding rings on or off? Off.
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy! 🙂
Looking forward to:  Getting things set up for Mikaylee – we’re moving so it’s a little awkward, but we’re so excited!!
