Avocado Blue Cheese Hamburger Recipe

Okay, this Avocado Blue Cheese Hamburger Recipe is insane.   I stuck with our favorite avocado for this burger even though I used a little be of Just Mayo – it’s so creamy and delicious!  I love Avocado on my burgers!This was my first time having blue cheese that wasn’t in dressing form. At first I was a bit nervous, but oh my gosh.. it’s soooo good!  It may just be the best hamburger recipe ever, well our Avocado Bacon Burger with Sweet Balsamic Onion Relish is the best burger recipe too.. I think I just make the best burgers ever!

If I’m clueless what to make for a crowd it’s usually burgers or tacos.  Those recipes for me are so fool-proof and delicious.  I love to make my guests tons of food and of course food they enjoy!  Typically I would put bacon on a burger, however we just had bacon the night before and wanted to do something a little different this time.  I used Know Your Produce’s Sweet Onion Relish Recipe again too!  Have you not tried this relish yet?  So AH-MAZING, you must!

Avocado Blue Cheese Hamburger Recipe for bbqs!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 Cup Sweet Balsamic Onion Relish
  • 2 Avocados , sliced
  • 1/4 Cup Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • 5 Sesame Seed Buns

Instructions

  • Divide the beef into 5 patties (less or more depending on the size you like!) and place into the hot cast iron pan with a little oil.
  • Season the burgers with salt and pepper.
  • Once the burgers are done place them on the buns and top them with the Sweet Balsamic Onion Relish, Avocado and Blue Cheese Crumbles.
  • Enjoy!

My favorite way to cook burgers is in a cast iron pan.  It really sears the meat all over and I actually cook my burgers and steaks on a cast iron pan since we can’t grill on our condo balcony.  Thankfully it’s finally seasoned perfectly and really cast iron is nonstick!  I cooked some eggs in it this morning without any sticking!  I don’t think I can go back to nonstick pans now.  I definitely cannot wait to finally move into our dream home (hopefully soon, still hunting!) and purchase our dream grill too!
