Wow, can you believe only 3 more weeks until my sweet baby is here?! In the meantime we’re getting everything ready and prepared. One of the main things off our checklist is a humidifier. When we went to our pediatrician interview he highly recommended getting one. We absolutely love the Crane Drop Humidifier for our sweet baby. The Crane Drop Humidifier has a cool mist, which was recommended by our doctor. If Mikaylee ever has a cold or little cough I know that I can just put this in her room and she’ll have relief throughout the night. It relieves cough, cold, and flu symptoms, including nasal congestion, dry cough, sinus irritation, nose bleeds, and dry skin.
I must confess that since I reviewed this I have been using it every day for myself and plan to get one for my own bedroom. During my third trimester I was getting a bloody nose almost daily due to the dryness from our A/C, humidity, and my seasonal allergies. Since using this I haven’t had anymore of those symptoms.
See it in action!
I love that it’s quiet. I’m a light sleeper and even if I hear a soft noise I can’t sleep, so I can rest easy that this won’t disturb baby while she’s sleeping. It has a 0.9 gallon water tank and will last up to 24 hours. Another cool feature is the 360˚ mist nozzle. I can put the mist in any direction without moving the unit. It’s suitable for rooms 250 square feet in size. It also features an autoshutoff saftey sensor and uses less energy than a standard household light bulb!
While the drop humidifier doesn’t require a filter, it’s recommended to use filtered or distilled water to prevent white dust if you have hard water. I actually prefer using distilled for Mikaylee since it’s going into the air she’s breathing in. To use the humidifier just pour water into the water basin, close, and place onto the base. Plug it in and choose your desired mist setting – it’s that easy! It’s important to clean your humidifier regularly. Always let your unit dry completely before storing. Crane recommends emptying the water basin daily and making sure you also empty the base. To disinfect your tank weekly just make a solution of white vinegar and water and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing.

I’ve been looking at getting a humidifier so I’m going check this out. I love the colors.
I love the look of the Drop! We had the Crane Elephant for awhile – then we were told that C should NOT have a humidifier because it makes his eczema WORSE. It’s a pain. I loved that thing!
I definitely need a humidifier when I go out of town!
There have been many many times we could have used one of these.
We had to use a cold mist with our daughter… Great one!
Sounds like a great humidifier.
I’ll check this out. I’ve heard they’re very good.
My son needs one for his room.
Fantastic review! With my bad allergies and sinuses, they’re essential to have!
Thankfully we don;t need one, but it looks and sounds great!
This looks like a neat humidifier. I had one for years but had to throw it out because it got yucky after so many years of using it. I have been looking for a replacement.
wow that sounds so perfect for us. We have something like that but it doesn’t work at good or look as easy. We are all just getting over horrible colds, including my 2 year old.
I like the style, much better than those old clunky humidifiers I remember.
We love our crane humidifier!
That’s a really neat humidifier. We need to get a new one for the girls’ room this winter.
We have one of these, and I like it so much that I brought into my bedroom to use some nights, too!
Looks like a great humidifier! I will look into it!
I need to get a humidifier before fall b/c my daughter coughs the whole night when the cooler months start coming in.
This looks a lot nicer then the big huge ugly one I had when my boys were young. So close, so exciting!
I really need to get a another humidifier especially for the winter and the boys cause they have eczema.
I love our humidifier. Definitely a GREAT thing to have.
I need a humidifier! Thank you for the review, my allergies I think would be helped.
This looks like a great humidifier! We need a new one so we might consider this.
I like that you can direct the mist where you want it to go!
We love our Cranes!
We definitely need to get one, with all the allergies out here I’m sure my little one will need one soon.
I love that they have a variety of colors!
The shape is so cute…I have an animal Crane humidifier, it really helped when little man was a baby.
We own a Crane Humidifier and adore it! It’s wonderful for allergy season as well as when the kids get the sniffles.
We have a humidifier and it’s a must have with a new baby. Our humidifier is also a crane one, we’ve had it for 2 years and have loved it. Wonderful review!
I’m a light sleeper as well. Being quite is a great feature.
It design just looks really nice. It’s very visually pleasing and I think the video was a good idea. It really gives you a better sense of how well it works.
Looks like a great humidifier! Oh, and I used to be a light sleeper but not any more. As my son got older and older, I began sleeping sounder and sounder. Maybe my mind/body realized it had too, so I could get enough sleep. 🙂
We loved the humidifiers when ours were little!
This is neat. I’m def going to check this out for my bedroom. I have a sinus headache now that won’t go away so I need something.
Wow, I didn’t know there’s a portable humidifier! I am actually looking for dehumidifier in Brisbane. Our old one broke.
I need one of these really bad, we left ours at the old house, it helps with my allergies!
Thank you for your review on this, since my wee one has started daycare he’s had nothing but colds, coughs etc… It’s been a rough year. We hired a Vicks humidifier not so long ago and it was fantastic.. but on the hunt for one to purchase. Will do bit more research but do like the look of this one!
I might consider on buying one since my household is sick with a bad cold. This time of year again! 🙁
we own one of these for the nursery room and find it a bit hard to clean. Luckily a friend of ours told us to clean the inside of the tear drop with vinegar and water to shake off the mineral collected in it
