Notice anything different? I am trying out a new layout. I had planned to tweak and finish this layout then update it in August. Plans change, or should I say I messed up by not having my layout saved.. I’m having laptop issues and for some reason the thing clicked on upload when I wanted to click preview. I had it saved in my email, but something was messed up in the script so I’d rather this than something all jumbled.. I’m hoping to get a new desktop soon so I can tweak everything in a timely manner. Please bear with me while these changes take place!!
Now onto my Good Morning Kale Smoothie! Lately I’ve been stuck with eating just a banana for breakfast, which we all know isn’t enough to last until you can have a snack/lunch. When you’re dieting/trying to lose weight it’s essential to eat every meal.. Never skip meals. It really won’t help you lose weight, instead it will hurt you in the long run. So I decided I should take my own advice and do something. Every morning I now enjoy a smoothie with some Whey Protein. ( I’m on the lookout for a great protein that has no taste, if you know of any please let me know!)
I bought some Kale while I was shopping and figured I’d use it for dinner. That was last week. Now I have a huge bag of Kale that hasn’t been open and needs to be used within 4 days! Hello Mr. Blender, meet Needstobeusedasap Kale!
I threw a few things in and hoped that it would blend the Kale into a smoothie.. It was quite delicious! If I don’t have this for breakfast this will definitely be my after workout smoothie!
Kale Smoothie
Serves 1
1 Apple
1 1/2 Cups Kale
10 Frozen Strawberries
1 Medium Banana
1 1/2 Cup Water
Core the apple, and place everything in the blender in the order listed.

I used the Liquefy button on my blender and let it go for about 2 minutes.
And that’s it. It’s done!
I’m all for having more greens in my daily meals. Oh, and I can still have my daily banana. I heart bananas. 🙂

Yum! This looks yummy and tasty way to get in more greens. The blendtec would be perfect for this. My current blender leaves rather unpalatable shreds of kale in my smoothies.
My daughter’s therapist & I were just talking about trying kale smoothies. I’ll have to make a batch next time she comes.
I used to make a kale smoothie with pineapple for me and my daughter. It was so good, but my daughter started getting a rash with anything that is very acidic. I have tried a few recipes since but this is the first one that I liked too. Thank you!
I tried a kale smoothie once and it was actually pretty good, but it still doesn’t look appetizing!
