Sweet Baby 28 Weeks

 Sweet Baby is the size of a Chinese Cabbage!

This week we had our monthly checkup, and now we’re going to be going every two weeks!  Wow, time is flying by!  Before we know it she will be here, and we cannot wait!  I also jumped up 5lbs this week.. The doctor said that it’s completely normal and most people jump up quickly out of nowhere and then are more consistent with weight gain.  So far I’ve gained about 20lbs, but really only 10 if you don’t count the 10lb weight loss due to morning sickness.  I have been so tired lately.  I can’t believe how much I can sleep.  Like everyone has been telling me “Get sleep now, you won’t once she’s here!”  I’m not fighting it.  Enjoying every moment of this pregnancy.  🙂
 
About our baby:  By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She’s also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world. (summary and weekly image from babycenter)

About me: Loving every moment of being pregnant, just a few short months to go!
How far along? 28 Weeks 2 Days   
Total weight gain:  20lbs
Maternity clothes? Not yet, just bigger sizes.
Stretch marks? None yet
Sleep: Off an on.
Best moment this week:Feeling more movement! 🙂

Worst moment this week: My other grandma not doing well 🙁

Miss Anything?  Hoagie.. I want one so bad!
Movement: Yes! 🙂
Food cravings: Strawberries, like mad! 🙂
Anything making you queasy or sick: Raw ground meat/chicken.
Gender: Baby GIRL!
Labor Signs: No.
Symptoms: Heartburn and extremely tired!
Belly Button in or out? It’s getting different.. Much more closed in!
Wedding rings on or off? Off.
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy! 🙂
Looking forward to:  Finally seeing Sweet Baby, just about a month more until our next ultrasound!

    It does seem like it has flown by! And it is true, sleep all you can. Besides, you should listen to your body… and if it says sleep, do it. 🙂

    It’s so true about the sleep thing. It’s going to make the 3rd trimester easier on me this time around because remembering life with a newborn reminds me that feeling like a whale isn’t so bad! LOL
