Sweet Baby weighs as much as a large Cabbage!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mother’s out there!  I can’t believe I just wrote this post last year wishing for our sweet baby.  She’s coming, and in less than 10 weeks!  I can’t wait to see her little face!  So what’s been happening with me?  Nothing too much different than before aside from lots of sleepiness.  Many naps, and a lot of restless nights due to sweet baby’s little kicks during the AM hours.  I wake up multiple times just from her kicks, or a restroom break.  I must say I smile every time her sweet little kicks wake me from my sleep, it’s the peeing that’s annoying 😉  Oh and hello pregnancy brain.. Yesterday I spent most of my day prepping and cooking meals that I was planning to save for July/August.  Hubby woke up at 5am this morning for work and says, “Sweet, I have some bad news.  You left out all the food and never put it away.”  I think I was in shock for a good minute before I started crying.  I looked at everything and tossed it away.  Let’s just say I won’t be prepping meals again unless hubby is up with me.  I just can’t believe I forgot.

    30weeks

About our baby:  Your baby’s about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it’s not very keen; even after she’s born, she’ll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she’ll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)   (summary and weekly image from babycenter)

About me:  I’m happy as could be, loving every single minute and every little kick from my sweet baby.  Can’t wait to meet her in less than 10 weeks now! 🙂
How far along? 30 Weeks 2 Days
    Total weight gain:
      23lbs
Maternity clothes? Not yet, just bigger sizes.
Stretch marks? Just by my scars from my gallbladder removal.
Sleep: Only naps.. 😉  Sweet Baby likes to kick and play during the AM hours.
    Best moment this week:
    Feeling more movement.

Worst moment this week: Sweet Baby’s heart rate dropping and rising out of the blue at our prenatal visit.  After two hours and an ultrasound they think she may have been playing with the umbilical cord.  Hoping that was all, and my feisty little girl is just fine.

Miss Anything?  Sleeping and less frequent bathroom breaks!
    Movement: Yes! 🙂
Food cravings: Grapefruit, strawberries and watermelon!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Raw ground meat/chicken.
    Gender: Baby GIRL!
    Labor Signs: No.
    Symptoms: Heartburn and sleepy!
Belly Button in or out? I think it’s going to push out!   I can finally see the scar which used to be inside my belly button from my gallbladder removal.
Wedding rings on or off? Off.
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy! 🙂
Looking forward to:  Next ultrasound on the 21st!

I’ve been craving watermelon and strawberries like mad as well – mostly watermelon, though. That’s all I’ve been eating lately!
