I’m sure you’ve heard of White Manna in Hackensack NJ even if you don’t live IN NJ.  Thanks to Diners Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri my favorite already packed burger joint is even more packed! 😉 White Manna in Hackensack NJ I’ll never forget going the first time.  I was a fan of White Castle Burgers at one point in my life and can’t believe I even ate them now.  When Chris and I walked in I felt like a sardine in a can and heard the sound of the grill sizzling.  You walk in and wait for your order to be taken while you stand and wait.  McDonald’s is right across the street with their “burgers” too.  However this place always has a wait – why?  It’s because they actually have real ingredient filled food. White Manna in Hackensack NJ The chef cooks the burgers right in front of you on a hot flat top grill.  They have the burgers all ready to go to make things quicker.  Large round meatballs are placed on the grill and smashed down with the spatula.  If you get onions they plop them right on top of the smashed patty and it cooks into the burger.  The onions are sliced so thinly that they cook up within seconds.   On the opposite side they have your buns steaming and ready to go.  They use REAL meat and the flavor is just incredible from the onions and burgers cooking together in all the juices.  I like to get cheese on mine as well.  Whenever we go we get about 8-10 burgers.  I eat 3 and hubby has 5.   The burgers are loaded on a slider size potato bun and topped with pickles if you ask.  Chris likes to add ketchup to his too. White Manna in Hackensack NJ Fries are optional as well.  My favorite thing is the way they’ve kept everything the same.  Despite the popularity they still have their little shop and it works.   Even if hubby has to go in and order by himself. 😉 (Thank you so much my love!) The burgers are all under $2 and they even have a double burger option which is in that range.  Since we used to live right by White Manna I used to eat there quite often.  When I was pregnant with Kay White Manna was one of my biggest pregnancy cravings too. White Manna in Hackensack NJ If you’re in the area, this is definitely a place to check out and grab a burger or 5!

White Manna in Hackensack is located at

358 River Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601

Serving up delicious burgers since 1946.

There’s also a White Mana in Jersey City, however we’ve never tried it!  On the to-do list!

Wow! This made me hungry! They sound so good! I’ve never been to or heard of this place, but I live in WI. If I ever get to Hackensack, I will definitely be checking it out!
