    1. You could try reducing the cooking time by about 5-6 minutes, but use a thermometer to check the safe temp. 🙂 My concern would be the bacon cooking fully though.

I was very skeptical about doing fillets in an air fryer. They turned out perfect!!!!! The bacon was crispy and the inside of the steak was pink. I missed the flavor that you get when you grill, but we were in the middle of a snow storm so grilling wasnt an option. We will definitely make this again and again!!!!!

  2. Tried the filets in our air fryer for the first time. This was quick and easy! We like ours between medium and medium well. Cooked your recommended 10 minutes and turned the for 5 minutes. I cooked them a couple more minutes and got them out. They were not done enough for our taste, We cooked them
For a couple more minutes. They were perfect. Very good.

  3. I’m just figuring which recipes will be good for me, cooking for 1 or 2.
My question is regarding other cuts of meat, Tbone, Porterhouse, etc.
Would I cook them approximately the same method as the filet?
    Thank you!

Your steaks don’t have a maillard sear, and of course ‘medium’ is too well done for a filet. I season mine with crushed rock salt and spray on liquid smoke, then let sit for two hours. Preheat the air fryer @400F° for 5 minutes [I would go at a higher setting if it had one]. Cook at 400° for 8 minutes. Flip and cook 4 minutes more. Next, the important part: open the air fryer slightly and let rest for 5 minutes. Perfect!

At first I was skeptical of cooking steak in an air fryer. But I tried it and I am SO GLAD I did! I have a Ninja Foodi XL and I did have to add a few minutes to the cook time since it’s a larger unit, and I broiled it for a couple of minutes at the end to crisp up the top. But it was absolutely delicious and so tender! Will definitely do this again!

Thank you for this great recipe! My steaks taste so good! Definite game changer when I cook my steaks from now on.

I think you meant to say that olive oil has a low smoke point. Avocado oil on the other hand does have a high smoke point.

  8. Followed the one comment of 10 + 2. Absolutely perfect for medium rare. Bacon was cooked well also. Perfection, as one person said!

  9. I’m about to try Filet’ Mignon & NY strip in the air fryer for the first time.
    Hope they turn out good!
