3 Ingredient Brown Sugar Pork Chops will be your new favorite pork chop recipe. If you love easy pork chop recipes this one is made for you. You can make these pork chops in the oven or on the grill. This may be the best pork chop recipe you ever make!
These brown sugar pork chops are full of flavor. It’s a baked pork chop recipe that is so easy to make! Depending on how long you cook your pork chops in the oven the brown sugar will caramelize and even form a crispy crust if you use the broiler.
You guys.. I have a thing for brown sugar. I don’t just use it for baking, but cooking too! You could easily make this recipe work for chicken and steak, but I just love this combo on pork chops and even ribs!
This recipe really only needs the 3 ingredients, but you could also add in garlic for another flavor note if you want brown sugar garlic pork chops. We do a similar recipe like this for baked boneless skinless chicken thighs.
When I first made this recipe my husband went crazy. He saw me seasoning the meat and thought I wasn’t doing enough, but sure enough – we both loved it! SO simple and nearly everyone has to have the ingredients on hand. My family now requests Brown Sugar Pork Chops at least once a week!
What I love is that my whole family can enjoy this recipe. My daughter can be super picky about toppings and this is just a simple seasoning recipe that she loves. What kid doesn’t love sweet? 🙂 We recently did this on a pork loin in our slow cooker with a little bit of chicken broth in the bottom and it was SO GOOD!
We added in some potatoes and carrots as well. I just recently had surgery so my husband is going back to all of my recipes and making them. I made this before I had surgery and I’m glad I did! It’s an easy weeknight dinner that my husband can cook and have little to no prep. The hardest part is going shopping for the pork chops, ha!
SWEENTER OPTIONS:
If you don’t like using brown sugar you can easily swap out with honey or even maple syrup, just know it won’t taste exactly the same, but you’ll still have that sweetness.
HOW LONG TO BAKE PORK CHOPS AT 350:
How long to cook pork chops will depend on the thickness. We aim for 25-35 minutes, depending on the thickness. You always want to make sure they’re cooked to your liking by using a thermometer. The pork chop temperature should be 145 degrees Fahrenheit. I actually like to cook ours until they’re well done.
TIPS FOR GETTING THE PERFECT CRUST ON YOUR PORK CHOPS:
If you want a crispy exterior to your pork chops you can sear them prior to baking in the oven in a hot skillet with a little olive oil and butter. We actually skip this step since we don’t mind not having a crispy exterior, but when you’re entertaining it’s nice to have that beautifully browned pork chop.
The seasoning is a little harder to do when you sear them, so we suggest just adding a tiny bit of salt and pepper when pan searing pork chops then adding the full mixture of brown sugar, salt, and pepper when baking. You can also broil them at the end.

Tried it tonight, my husband loved the pork chops. I used bone in chops and they turned out great. Wasn’t sure about the brown sugar, but the salt and I used seasoned pepper made for a great taste.
We did this but with bone in pork chops for extra flavor. It was delicious! We may mix a little onion or garlic powder next time to get a little change. Thanks for the easy oven recipe.
Garlic works really well in this recipe too! 🙂
I made This last night. It was a hit with hubby. I sprinkled on just a very small amount of garlic pepper before the brown sugar. Thank you!
So glad you enjoyed! We make our chicken thighs with the garlic too! 😀
OMG! I made these tonight for dinner and they were SO good! I reduced the amount of pepper to 1 TBSP but it tasted so good. This was a winner in my house and will definitely be in rotation for dinner! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
Yay!! So glad you enjoyed them and thanks for letting us know too! 🙂

Is there a recipe for the Slow Cooker Pork Loin recipe that you mentioned above? If not, how long do you cook the Loin in the crockpot?
We don’t have a recipe for that since I didn’t really measure and it was a gotta make dinner before we leave for the game kinda thing 🙂
I’m confused because my pork was very wet and I only added the dry rub ingredients. It doesn’t look cooked so I’m cooking it for longer because not sure if it cooked through. The picture doesn’t match yours so I’m not sure!
Hi Gigi,
The pork shouldn’t look dry, but moist. We highly recommend using a meat thermometer when cooking any animal proteins. Pork should be at least 145 degrees F in the thickest portion. I personally cook our pork until it’s well done at 160 degrees F.
Would this work in a crock pot?
You can definitely try it! I’ve done it with pork loin as a pot roast with onions and carrots, but never pork chops.
I tried this recipe last night and it was very good. I added garlic as well. A nice change on pork chops. Thanks for sharing. I will make this Recipe regularly.
I love this simple recipe, so yummy. Even my picky kids love these pork chops.
We’re so happy to hear that! YAY! 😀
Thinking of making these tonight… do you season both sides with the brown sugar rub?? Or just one?
I rub a little on both sides and then mostly on top 🙂
How long do you recommend for the broiler at the end?
It takes about a minute or 2 to get the desired browning. 🙂
