    These Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars make for a quick and easy dessert packed with chocolate chips and Rolo caramel candies.

    • Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
    • 1 egg
    • 1 stick unsalted butter – softened
    • 3.4 oz box vanilla instant pudding mix
    • 1 1/3 cup chopped up rolos

    These cookie bars are chewy and delicious and only take 30 minutes to cook. You can easily add in your other favorite chocolate candies like m&ms or even chopped up candy bars. Another fun idea is to drizzle some chocolate right over top – yum!

    How to make chocolate chip cookie bars

    While the oven is preheating, prepare an 8-inch baking dish with either nonstick spray or line the pan with foil and spray that with nonstick spray. You could also use parchment paper without spray.

    In a large bowl, combine the cookie mix, egg, butter, and pudding mix on low speed using a hand mixer or using a spoon, mix until well combined.

    Once the mixture looks like cookie dough gently fold in the rolos using a spoon.

    Place the chocolate chip cookie dough into your prepared pan, press it out evenly and top with the extra rolos or other candies.

    Bake for about 30 minutes, until the sides are slightly golden.

    Remove the chocolate chip cookie bars from the pan and allow to cool completely before slicing.

    • In a large bowl, combine the cookie mix, egg, butter, and pudding mix on low speed using a hand mixer or using a spoon, mix until well combined.
    • Once the mixture looks like cookie dough gently fold in 1 cup of the rolos using a spoon.
    • Place the chocolate chip cookie dough into your prepared pan, press it out evenly and top with the remaining 1/3 cup of rolos. 
    • Bake for about 30 minutes, until the sides are nice and golden.
    • Remove from the pan and allow to cool completely before slicing into cookie bars.
    • Enjoy!
