easy sugar cookies

There’s something special about making cookies at home, being with family, enjoying spending time together, and of course the heavenly smell of sugar cookie aroma throughout the house. Growing up my mom would make refrigerated sugar cookie dough, but as soon as I was old enough I wanted to make sugar cookies from scratch. I love using real ingredients in my baked goods and choosing all the ingredients that go into a recipe.

EASY SUGAR COOKIES

if you liked our sugar cookie recipe you’ll love our black and white cookies recipe too!

I love when our homemade sugar cookies come out of the oven. I put them on a rack to cool, but I admit, it’s hard to wait. I love enjoying them while they’re still warm!

The best sugar cookie recipe should be soft, and slightly crunchy on the ends.  This is truly a perfect sugar cookie recipe for Christmas Sugar Cookies or any other holiday sprinkles! We always make them for the holiday.

If you don’t want to use sprinkles on your sugar cookie dough you can bake them up and then decorate with sugar cookie icing or sugar cookie frosting.
