This is often a go to quick weeknight dinner when I have no clue what to cook, but want to make something flavorful and delicious. You can use different cuts of chicken and you’ll just need to adjust the cook time. I’ve even used ground chicken to make meatballs in Italian dressing!

    Italian Dressing Chicken Ingredients

    • Chicken breasts: I recommend using full chicken breasts and slicing in half to create smaller portions for even cooking.
    • Italian dressing: We use this as a marinade to add flavor and tenderize the chicken.

How to Make Italian Dressing Chicken

Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or a resealable bag. Pour the Italian dressing over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover or seal and refrigerate for at least 2 to 4 hours to allow the flavors to infuse.

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Arrange the marinated chicken in a even single layer in a casserole dish along with the marinade.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.

Let the chicken cool a bit before serving.

    Recipe Tips and Variations

    • Grilling option: Cook over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked.
    • Air fryer method: Air fry at 375°F for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway.
    • Enhance the flavor: Add some fresh herbs, veggies like string beans or cherry tomatoes, even olives!
    • Use different cuts of chicken: This works with chicken thighs or drumsticks too! Just adjust cooking time as needed.

    Storage and Reheating Tips

    • Reheat: Warm in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes, or microwave for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
    • Refrigerate: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
