This Mint Soft Serve recipe is light, creamy, and refreshingly smooth, with a delicious mint flavor that comes out beautifully in the GreenPan Frost.

If you love mint ice cream you’re gong to love this mint soft serve! It’s flavorful and delicious. Even though the texture is light, this mint soft serve holds its shape well and does not melt too quickly. The balance of fat and sugar provides stability while keeping the finished ice cream smooth and soft.

Can’t eat it all in one sitting? It also freezes beautifully for scoop-able ice cream. We like adding in crushed oreos or mini chocolate chips when freezing.
We also have a vanilla soft serve and chocolate soft serve recipe you would love!
Quick Bites About This Recipe
Skill Level: Easy and beginner-friendly.
Swaps: Full-fat Oatly and Country Crock plant cream for dairy-free.
Make Ahead: Base can be mixed and chilled up to 2 days in advance.
Freezer Friendly: Best fresh, but can be frozen for up to 1 month.
Variations & Substitutions: Add chocolate chips after dispensing or swirl in chocolate syrup.
Mint Soft Serve Ingredients
Full-fat milk: This forms the liquid base and helps the Frost spin smoothly. Full-fat is important for body and stability.
Heavy cream: Adds richness and keeps the soft serve from freezing too firm. Plant-based cream works well for dairy-free versions.
Granulated sugar: Sweetens the base and lowers the freezing point, which helps prevent iciness.
Instant vanilla pudding mix: Just one tablespoon adds structure and stability without affecting the mint flavor.
Mint extract: Provides the signature cool mint flavor. A little goes a long way, so measure carefully to avoid overpowering the base.

How to Make Mint Soft Serve
Combine the milk, cream, sugar, pudding mix, and mint extract in a bowl. Mix until completely smooth and the sugar is fully dissolved.
Use the mixture right away or transfer it to a covered container and refrigerate until ready to use, up to 2 days. For best texture, chill the base thoroughly before spinning.
Pour the chilled mint soft serve mixture into the GreenPan Frost mixing bowl. Select Soft Serve and Level 4.
Once the cycle finishes, the machine will beep and display “Cool.” Dispense and enjoy.
Storing and Reheating (If There’s Any Leftovers!)
Refrigerate: Unspun base can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Freeze: Finished soft serve can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
Enjoying after freezing: Let frozen soft serve sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Recipe Tips and Notes
