WHY SHOULD I AIR FRY ASPARAGUS?

We love making veggies in the air fryer. It crisps them up beautiful and the short cook time allows them to retain more moisture than in the oven. When making roasted vegetables in the oven it could easily take 30 minutes to an hour! Asparagus in an air fryer takes just 8 minutes!

    AIR FRYER ASPARAGUS RECIPE

    • 1 Bunch of Asparagus
    • Avocado Oil
    • Granulated Garlic
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Lemon (juice)

HOW TO COOK ASPARAGUS IN THE AIR FRYER

Wash and trim or snap the ends of the asparagus.

Place the asparagus in a bowl and cover with the oil and seasonings, toss to coat.

Arrange the asparagus onto the air fryer rack and then air fry at 350 on the top rack for 5 minutes, flip or rotate and cook for another 3 minutes.

Once the asparagus is done remove from the oven and finish with a little bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice.

    SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

Air Fryer Roasted Asparagus is not only delicious but makes for a great side dish with almost any main course. If you don’t like lemon you can leave that out. Without the lemon juice, you could dip into our Chinese Garlic Sauce, or try tossing it into our Chicken Asparagus Pasta. Serve it as a side with our Air Fryer Chicken Thighs or Air Fryer Salmon.

    RECIPE NOTES:

    • You can season as desired, but we really enjoy the garlic seasoning and think it’s a must-try!
    • If lemon is too strong for you or you cannot handle acidic foods you can leave it out, it’s delicious either way.
    • The thickness of asparagus can vary. If it’s thicker you may need to add 2 minutes, if it’s thinner you may need to reduce by 2 minutes.
    • We use a Cuisinart Air Fryer which has two levels. If you only have one just cook as is, but you may need to increase or decrease the cooking time, depending on how well your air fryer cooks.
