- Rice Krispies Treats bars – Make it simple and buy storebought! You can also use homemade or even do it with brownies as well.
- White Chocolate wafers – Our top allergy-friendly picks for white chocolate are enjoy life and Walmart’s brand of white chocolate, which is free from many major allergens (check packaging).
- Candy eyes – You can also make these with white and regular chocolate or homemade royal icing.

Place parchment paper onto a baking sheet. Unwrap the rice Krispie treats and place onto the lined baking sheet.
Melt the chocolate as directed below, and then use a spoon to spread it over top of the treats. After spreading it place it on treats, place on the candy eyes, and repeat onto the next treat.
Once the treats are covered, you can melt the remaining white chocolate and then pour it into a piping bag. Carefully drizzle the white chocolate to make it look like mummy wrapping.
Allow the chocolate to dry, then place them onto a serving tray or store them in an airtight container until ready to serve.
Recipe tips and variations
- Don’t want a ton of chocolate? Skip spreading the white chocolate over the Halloween treats and instead just do a drizzle for the mummy wrapping.
- You can also make your own candy eyes using white chocolate and regular chocolate or make your batch of royal icing and dye to make it the desired colors. Want even it even more simple? Just use chocolate chips!
- Use clean and dry hands to place the eyes on as wet hands can make the eyes smear.
- Don’t have a piping bag? You can also use a Ziploc bag or even drizzle with a fork or spoon.
Storage tips
- Chocolate covered Rice Krispie Treats are best stored in an airtight container on the counter at room temperature for 3-4 days. If you’re stacking them, we suggest using a piece of parchment paper between the treats.

Mummy Rice Krispie Treats

- 24 Rice Krispies Treats bars 0.78 oz packaged bars
- 2 bags white chocolate
- 2 packs of small candy eyes
Instructions
- Line two sheet pans with parchment paper or a silpat.
- Unwrap the Rice Krispies Treats and place onto the prepared baking sheet at least 2 inches apart.
- Pour one bag of the white chocolate melts into a microwave save bowl and microwave for 15-20 second intervals, stirring between each interval until melted. You can melt more if needed.
- Take a tablespoonful of melted chocolate and spread on top of the Rice Krispies Treats and then while the chocolate is still wet, add the two eyes. Repeat until all are covered in chocolate and given eyes. Set aside.
- Melt the remaining white chocolate in the microwave and pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag and twist the top tightly, making sure it is secure and no chocolate will spill out.
- Using scissors, snip the tip of the piping bag a tiny bit at a time until it is the desired thickness for making the mummy bandages. Hold the piping bag firmly and give it a squeeze to decorate the Rice Krispies Mummies. Drizzle the chocolate in multiple directions, across and diagonal, to make the bandages. Set aside for the chocolate to set, about 15 to 30 minutes.
- Once set the chocolate is set, remove the extra drizzled chocolate from the sides and put the mummies on a plate. Serve and enjoy!
